The Smart JD Recommendation feature is designed to assist recruiters in creating job descriptions by providing recommended JDs. This feature significantly simplifies the burden of drafting a Job Description. This article explains how users can utilize the Smart JD Recommendation feature to create the perfect JD.
Access to the Feature:
Administrators and Requisition Admins can access the Smart JD Recommendation feature on the Create/Edit requisition page. Additionally, HR professionals can use it on the Create/Edit Job page when creating or editing jobs.
How to use the smart JD recommendation feature?
There are three parts to the Smart JD Recommendation feature. Each part is explained below:
i. JD Recommendation: The JD Recommendation feature recommends JDs based on job eligibility, and you can select the most suitable JD from the recommendations.
The JD Recommendation panel has the fields Job Title, Experience range, and Skills. All are mandatory and will be auto-populated if the user has already provided the details on the main form.
When you search for JDs, a list of recommended JDs from the system repository will be displayed.
You can click on the JD to expand. At the bottom of the JD, there will be an option to add the JD to the main form.
You can edit the search details by clicking the “Edit Search Details” on the top right side of the panel. The same right-side panel to enter search details will open again, and you can update the field and search again to get relevant results.
Generate JD: If you are not satisfied with the JD recommendation or if there are no JDs in the system repository that matches the search details, at the bottom of the Recommended JD page, there will be an option for you to generate a new Job Description using AI which will create a single JD.
After reading the new JD, if satisfied, you can add the JD to the main form. Else, you can use the Regenerate Jd option to add any missing points you wish to include in the Job Description.
Regenerate JD: At the bottom of the Generate New JD page, there is an option to regenerate the JD.
Clicking on this option will open a small panel to enter the changes you want to see in the generated JD.
Add the missing points as clear comments and regenerate the JD. You can compare the old and new JD generated and choose the better one.
ii. Analyze JD: At least 250 characters in the Job description field will enable the Analyze JD feature.
This feature will analyze the content in the Job description field. It will display the count of characters and words used in the job description and shows suggestions with regard to Clarity, Spelling and Grammatical Errors, Completeness, and Gender Neutrality.
You can use the Preview JD option to update the JD according to the suggestions. If satisfied with the result, you can add the updated JD to the Job Description field in the main form.
iii. My JD Bookmarks: You can bookmark any JD recommended or generated by the Smart JD Recommendation feature. Every JD has a bookmark icon, and you can click on the icon to bookmark a JD.
Bookmarked JDs are accessible on the My JD Bookmark page. To remove a JD from the bookmarks, users can click on the active bookmark icon on the JD again.
Access to the My JD Bookmarks page is available from both the main form and the JD Recommendation page.
Note: you can always add your job description without using the Smart JD Recommendation feature. But we highly recommend utilizing it to create the best JD possible.
