What is a requisition?

Modified on Tue, 4 Apr, 2023 at 4:19 PM

A requisition is a formal request that explains the need to hire an employee for a certain position. It includes basic details about the position such as if it's a full time or a part time job, the expected skills one must possess to be hired for the role etc. Creating a requisition is the first step of the talent acquisition process. It is then sent to a direct supervisor or the manager responsible to review and approve the  requisition.

In Zappyhire, a requisition is created by the requisition admin. After the requisition is created, it is sent to the requisition approver. There can be one or more approvers. Once the requisition gets approved by the final approver a job is automatically drafted. Any changes to the requisition can be done only by the requisition admin and requisition approver. However, the requisition approver has limited access to edit the requisition at the time of approval.

Click on the Requisitions option to view all the requisitions created in the ATS. Only the users with administrator role and requisition admin role can view this page.

Click on a requisition to view its details. A right panel will be open displaying details which includes the status of the requisition, the date and time the requisition was created, the requisition admin who created the requisition, the selected approvers and their remarks, and all the other details entered by the requisition admin while creating the requisition.
