Master data is the core data of an organization that is consistent and non-transactional. Good management of master data is needed to ensure data consistency, completeness, and accuracy within a business entity and its associates.
In Zappyhire, any user role with the Add Master Data permission enabled can add your entity master data for location, designation, course, certification, and skill, on the settings page. To add master data, go to Settings > Recruitment > Master Data. You can edit or delete this data, but you can do so only if there are no dependencies.
The different types of master data that you can add in Zappyhire are:
Locations: The Locations in Zappyhire are mainly used to define the posting location of a job opening, which is required information while creating a job or a requisition, or the user’s working location, which is provided while creating a user in Zappyhire.
By default, the location of your organization will be added. To add a new location, you have to select the country and state in which the location is situated.
Designations: Designations are another master data type that can be added as per your Organizational requirements. These are mainly used while adding a user or while creating a requisition.
To add a new designation simply enter the designation name and click on Save.
You can also set the Expected TAT for the job designations. The Recruitment Turnaround Time (TAT) is the duration it takes for a recruiter to complete the hiring process for an open job position. In simpler terms, it's the number of days from when a requisition is approved to when the position is successfully filled.
If a TAT is assigned to a designation and a requisition admin creates a requisition under that same designation, the closing date will be automatically calculated based on the TAT and populate it while creating the requisition.
Courses, Certifications, and Skills: They are a key part of the candidate eligibility check and candidate ranking. When a candidate applies for a job, Zappyhire does an automatic eligibility check on the candidate based on the job requirement. Not meeting the requirements for courses, certifications, and skills can be reasons to mark the candidate as ineligible. The priority set on course, certification, and skill matching can also be used to rank the eligible candidates.
You can add master data one by one, or in bulk using an excel template. The template will be provided under the Bulk Upload option for all types of master data.
Steps to add in bulk
Step 1: Click on “Download template for bulk upload” to download the excel template.
Step 2: Enter the names in the excel sheet and upload the sheet in the below space.
Step 3: Finally, click Save to complete the process.
