What is HR shortlist and Hiring Manager shortlist?

Modified on Fri, 22 Dec, 2023 at 5:06 PM

When the candidate applies for a job or is referred to a job, the candidate will be screened automatically, if the eligibility criteria is met. After the candidate is moved to the Screened stage, HR has to shortlist the candidate to push the candidate to the next stage. The hiring manager shortlist is optional to move the candidate to the next stage.

Once the HR shortlists the candidate, HR can notify the hiring manager to take action on the shortlist status.

If HR or the Hiring Manager rejects the candidate, the candidate cannot be pushed to the next stage. The rejected candidates can be found in the Rejected Candidates list. Click on the Rejected Candidates icon to view the Rejected Candidates list.

You can send rejection mail to these candidates by selecting Send Rejection Mail option from the three dot menu.

The HR and hiring manager can change their decisions anytime before pushing the candidate to the assessment stage. To do that, find the rejected candidate by selecting Rejected Candidates or All Candidates from the list of candidates and click on the tick mark instead of cross mark.

If the Hiring Manager takes no action(approve/reject), the HR can still push the candidate to the next stage.
