How to add custom fields?

Zappyhire offers you a very user friendly, easy to use platform with features that can be customized according to your system. One such customization available is the provision to add Custom Fields.

While creating a requisition or a job, a set of default fields are displayed which needs to be filled in. Apart from these default fields, you can add your own custom fields and collect any data you wish to, inorder to adhere to your existing processes.

Likewise, the candidate information provided by the candidate at the time of applying or registering will be organized in the ATS. If you still want to collect candidate information other than what is defined, you can create a custom field and collect details from candidates.

Only users with administrator access can add custom fields. Once custom fields are created it will be displayed in the specific preselected screens (Create Requisition or Create Job) and the hiring team can add the details to the new fields added.

Steps to add custom fields:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Custom Field to open the Custom Field Management page.

Step 2: On the Custom Field Management page click on the +Add new Custom Field option.

Step 3: In the Create Custom Field panel select the module in which you want to create the field. You can select the requisition, job, or candidate module from the list.

Note: This article explains how to add a requisition or a job custom field. To learn about adding a custom field of the "Candidate" type, please refer to the article "How to add a candidate custom field?"

Step 6: You can make the field mandatory or optional by selecting Yes or No under “Is it a mandatory field”

Step 7: Finally, select the portals in which you wish to display the custom field. You can display the field value in the Zappyhire ATS, Candidate portal, Interview portal, Consultant portal and the Referral portal.

Step 8: Once you have entered all the required data, click on Submit. The created field and its info can be viewed in the Custom Field Management page, under the selected module(Requisition or Job).
